Monday. com has launched Harmony, a voice AI platform that calls sales leads, qualifies them and passes selected prospects to human representatives. The system responds in about 200 milliseconds and is available to mid-market and large companies in the US, UK, Australia and Singapore. The move matters because it shifts Monday. com from work management software toward owning part of the sales conversation itself.
How Harmony calls, qualifies and hands off leads
Harmony phones prospects, conducts qualification conversations, follows up on cold leads and routes incoming calls. It dials numbers and records consent using telephony from Twilio, then writes call notes back to CRM systems such as Salesforce and HubSpot. By default, its agents disclose to callers that they are AI, according to information on the Harmony website. Monday. com said the platform reaches up to 70% of the people it calls, without explaining the measurement method or publishing prices.
Instead of relying on one large model, Harmony uses a set of small models trained on real customer calls, each assigned to a single task such as qualification or handling objections. The models run largely on Harmony own servers, which the company links to the 200-millisecond response time. The voice technology comes from OneAI, acquired by Monday. com in May for $14.1M in cash, according to a company filing. That acquisition was intended to accelerate voice AI development, and Harmony lead Vitali Margolin contrasts the specialized models and structured logic with generic third-party LLM solutions.
The launch follows a broader repositioning of Monday. com around AI. In June the company created a $200M fund for workplace AI startups, and in July it said it would cut about 620 jobs, a fifth of its staff. Voice AI for sales has become crowded, with startups Bland and Vapi each raising $50M this year. Against that background, Monday. com is betting that an incumbent software vendor with distribution and CRM integrations can compete with focused voice startups.
What Harmony means for sales operations
For companies that lose deals because leads go cold, Harmony offers a way to cover initial outreach, qualification and follow-up without expanding SDR capacity. Notes written directly into Salesforce or HubSpot keep human representatives working inside existing pipelines rather than learning another tool. The effect is likely most visible in high-volume consumer sales, where UK car finance broker Bright Car Finance reported closing 9% more deals in less than a year after only about 5% of approved applications previously converted into finance agreements.
Several conditions require verification before purchase. The claimed 70% contact rate lacks methodology, pricing is undisclosed, and the 200-millisecond figure is a company statement rather than independent testing. Buyers should ask how consent recording works in each jurisdiction, how objection handling behaves on difficult calls, and how disclosure that the caller is AI affects conversion. This launch alone does not prove that automated qualification converts as well as human outreach across industries.
The marker to watch is publication of pricing and additional customer cases beyond Bright Car Finance across the four launch markets. If Monday. com discloses conversion data, retention and integration depth with major CRM systems, businesses will be able to judge whether Harmony is a durable sales layer or another pilot-stage voice tool.
